หลายๆ คนคงจะสับสนวิธีการใช้คำว่า Do กับ Make เนื่องจากทั้งสองคำมีความหมายว่า ทำ เหมือนกัน แต่การใช้งานต่างกัน เรามักจะใช้คำว่า “do homework” มากกว่าใช้คำว่า “make homework” และ ใช้ “make a mistake” มากกว่า “do a mistake”

Do homework เช่น

Do nothing เช่น

Do someone a favor เช่น
Do me a favor, please, and help me move this. ช่วยอะไรฉันหน่อยได้ไหม ช่วยฉันย้ายสิ่งนี้หน่อย

Do the cooking เช่น
Who does the cooking in your house? ใครมีหน้าที่ทำอาหารในบ้านของคุณ
Do an exam เช่น
How did you do in your exams? การสอบเป็นอย่างไรบ้าง
Do the shopping
