นอกจากนี้ a bit ยังเป็นคำวิเศษณ์บอกระดับ (adverb of degree) อีกด้วย

1. ใช้ a bit of กับนามนับไม่ได้ (uncountable noun) เช่น

= ผมสนุกนิดหน่อยในงานเลี้ยงเมื่อคืน แล้วคุณล่ะ
I got a bit, too. (= a bit of fun)
= ผมก็สนุกนิดหน่อยเช่นกัน
“Why don’t you try this cake ?”
= คุณไม่ลองทานเค้กหน่อยหรือครับ
“I’ve already had a bit, thank you.” (= a bit of cake)
= ดิฉันได้ทานไปบ้างแล้วค่ะ ขอบคุณ
3. a bit หรือ a little bit สามารถทำหน้าที่คำวิเศษณ์บอกระดับ (adverb of degree) ในความหมายเดียวกับ a little และมักใช้กับคำที่ ให้ความหมายเชิงลบ (negative meaning)

Sophia felt a bit annoyed when Janet borrowed her camera.
= โซเฟียรู้สึกรำคาญนิดหน่อยเมื่อเจเน็ตขอยืมกล้องถ่ายรูปของเธอ

4. ใช้ a bit of a กับคำนามที่บ่งบอกระดับ (noun implying degree)
